Engine (Power)

If you want a sportier ride, there is an available 2.0-liter turbocharged ECOTEC engine that produces 250 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. It pairs with a nine-speed automatic transmission to give you a smooth ride at any speed. The nine-speed transmission is standard in the Premier trim.

When it comes to performance, the Malibu focuses on daily commuters. If you use the standard engine, you can go up to 560 miles between trips to the gas station. It gets 29 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway. Upgrade to the available engine, and you'll get 22 mpg in the city and 32 mpg at highway speed.

Safety Features
Chevrolet understands the importance of safety and gives you 10 air bags in your new Malibu.
