Trim Levels (Exterior)
There are five different trim levels available for the 2020 Chevrolet Sonic: the LS Sedan, LT Hatch, LT Sedan, Premier Hatch, and Premier Sedan. As you consider these trims, imagine one in your favorite color. With nine different exterior colors to choose from, including Red Hot, Oasis Blue, summit White, and Nightfall Gray Metallic, you're sure to find one you love.
The LS Sedan features 15-inch wheels with bolt-on covers. These are changed to 15-inch painted aluminum wheels on the LT Sedan. The Premier Sedan features 17-inch painted aluminum wheels. Hatchback owners get 16-inch aluminum wheels with the LT Hatch trim and 17-inch wheels on the Premier Hatch. All of the cars have automatic on/off headlights. The glass in each vehicle features a solar-absorbing tint to help control the temperature.
Engine (Power)
All five trims have the same engine under the hood. It is a 1.4-liter turbo ECOTEC four-cylinder block. The engine produces a comfortable 138 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque. It works with a six-speed automatic transmission to give you the smoothest ride possible.
Performance
When it comes to performance, all five trims are ready for your next commute or road trip. The Sonic has a 12.2-gallon fuel tank that runs on regular unleaded fuel. In the city, you get 26 mpg, and at highway speed, the car gets you 34 mpg.
Interior
As you settle into this five-passenger hatchback or sedan, take a minute to enjoy its elegant style. All of the trims except for the Premier include cloth seating. Premier Hatch and Premier Sedan trims both include leatherette seats. The back seat folds down in a 60/40 split to increase your cargo space when you don't need all five seats. When you have the backseat up, the vehicle has 19 cubic feet of cargo space. With it lowered, the space increases to 47.7 cubic feet.
Connect your Apple or Android smartphone to your car and use the touch-screen infotainment system to access your favorite podcasts, apps, or music while you drive.
