2020 GMC Acadia

The 2020 GMC Acadia brings four trim levels to market for customers to enjoy: SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali. This is the first time the AT4 is available. All four feature LED headlights and taillights with the signature GMC C shape. The SLE and SLT also have LED daytime running lights. All of the trims except for the SLE include LED fog lights.

As you approach the new AT4, you'll notice a distinct grille with black chrome details. In terms of the wheels, the SLE and SLT have 18-inch wheels while the AT4 relies on 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tires. The Denali has 20-inch wheels. All of the trims include an 18-inch compact spare tire.

Three different engines power the four trim levels. The SLE runs with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 193 horsepower and 188 pound-feet of torque. The SLT relies on a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine that produces 230 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Both the SLE and SLT use a continuous variable transmission with the option of changing it to a nine-speed automatic transmission.

AT4 and Denali owners enjoy the power of a 3.6-liter V-6 engine with active fuel management. The block creates 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque.It uses a nine-speed automatic transmission.

In terms of performance, this SUV is ready for anything. All four engines include auto start/stop technology. As you lift your foot off the gas and apply it to the brake, the engine shuts off to save fuel. When you lift your foot off of the brake, it automatically restarts. If you need to haul something for your next adventure, equip your Acadia and hit the road. All four trims can tow up to 4,000 pounds.

If you have off-road plans, the AT4 has you covered. Turn a dial and choose the appropriate driving mode. You have the option of all-wheel drive, front-wheel drive, sport, off-road, or trailer/tow modes.

As you slide behind the wheel of the Acadia, you'll find a comfortable interior with plenty of room for everyone and everything. The SLE gives you the option of six or seven seats. The rest of the trims include seating for seven. Denali owners enjoy heated seats in both the first and second row. For storage, the SLE and SLT feature a new cargo area under the console. There is also covered under-floor storage and a second row storage bin. With the second and third row folded down, you get 79 cubic feet of space. The AT4 adds a cargo management system.

Among the many safety features in the 2020 GMC Acadia is a rear traffic alert system. It warns you if someone is approaching from the side as you pull out of a parking spot. There is also the rear park assist that alerts you if someone or something is behind you as you park.
