2020 GMC Yukon

The 2020 GMC Yukon comes in four trim levels; SLE, SLT Standard Edition, SLT, and Denali. As you consider each, remember you can choose the standard Yukon or, for more room, the Yukon XL. Length is the difference between these two body styles. The standard is 203.9 inches long, while the XL measures 224.4 inches.

After you choose your body style, you can select your wheel option. The standard wheels for the SLE/SLT are 18-inch machined aluminum wheels. If you want larger wheels, consider the 20-inch polished aluminum wheels. The most significant option is 22-inch six-spoke multi-featured wheels. Get into your cargo area with ease using the available programmable, hands-free liftgate. You can program it to open to various heights for ease of access in a tight parking garage.

Under the hood of the new Yukon, you'll find one of two engine choices, depending on your trim level. The SLE. SLT Standard Edition, and SLT use a 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V-8 engine. The aluminum block produces 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. Denali owners see the engine change to a 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V-8 engine. Its aluminum block generates a hefty 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Both use direct fuel injection and variable valve timing.

When it comes to performance, this SUV is ready for anything. All four trim levels are available as either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicles. They include active management systems that help you get the best gas mileage possible under any given road, traffic, or weather conditions and depending on how many people are along for the ride.

Add the proper equipment to your standard size Yukon, and you can haul up to 8,500 pounds. The Yukon XL handles up to 8,300 pounds.

As you design your perfect SUV, you can choose between a Jet Black or Cocoa/Dune interior. SLT owners will enjoy heated and ventilated front seats, as well as a heated steering wheel. The SLT also features a center console large enough for hanging folders or storing your laptop if you work from your vehicle. Keep everything charged while on the road with up to 13 different charging locations, including seven USB ports, five 12-volt outlets, and one 115-volt outlet.

The amount of space available depends on which body style you chose. In the standard Yukon, you'll have 15.3 cubic feet of cargo space with all three rows of seats up. There are 24.8 inches of legroom in the third row. If you chose the XL body style, the cargo space increases to 39.3 cubic feet, and there are 34.5 inches of legroom in the third row.

The rain-sensing front windshield wipers automatically turn on for varying amounts of rainfall. A hidden rear wiper keeps your back window clean, giving you a clear view of the road behind you.
